Limited One (1) Year Warranty on Carroll by Design Fixtures
Carroll by Design, LLC (“Carroll by Design”) warrants all catalogued lighting fixtures and parts to the original purchaser for one (1) year from the date of purchase. The warranty obligation of Carroll by Design is limited to the terms of this warranty set herein:
I. Claim Process
a) Warranty claim must be filed with the original dealer from whom the product was purchased. If the consumer is unable to contact the original dealer for reasons out of the consumer’s control, they should contact Carroll by Design by emailing email@example.com.
b) All claims for warranty must be made in writing accompanied by proof of purchase, a description of damages and all contact information.
c) Photographs or an in-person inspection by a Carroll by Design representative may be requested in order to assess manufacturing defect to best determine how the claim will be handled.
d) Failure to follow the above instructions may result in delays or voiding this warranty.
e) We at Carroll by Design hold the sole discretion on handling of warranty claims. The product may be repaired, replaced, or the consumer may be extended an allowance and be allowed to retain the product in “as-is” condition.
f) No other employee, representative, dealer, or individual has the authority to assume any obligation or liability on behalf of Carroll by Design in regards to this limited warranty.
g) Carroll by Design holds no liability or responsibility in incidental or consequential damages.
h) Some states have legal requirements about the duration and the limitations of incidental or consequential damages. If Carroll by Design cannot lawfully disclaim implied warranties, then to the furthest extent of the law all implied warranties will be limited.
i) This warranty gives you specific legal rights which may vary from state to state.
j) This warranty is non-transferrable.
II. Limitations of Warranty
a) The provided lightbulb(s) with any catalogued product is not manufactured by Carroll by Design and therefore not included in this warranty.
b) This warranty is void and null if the product(s) were altered in any way by another company, dealer, representative, or individual.
c) Freight damages are not considered manufacturing defects and claims are to be filed with the carrier.
d) Carroll by Design is not responsible for any shipping or freight cost incurred by the warranty claim without prior written agreement from an authorized Carroll by Design representative.
e) Due to use of natural materials and the hand-made nature of Carroll by Design products, slight variances should be expected and are not a result of a manufacturing defect. These variances may include but are not limited to size.
f) This warranty is applied under normal indoor residential or commercial use of the product(s). The warranty is not valid in situations caused by exposure to water, sun, salt water air, chemicals, normal wear and tear, or any use for which the product(s) was designed for.
g) We at Carroll by Design use natural wood in the catalogued products and as such, movement and color variation should be expected and are not covered by this warranty.
h) Reclaimed materials may contain nail holes, cracks, chips, and other surface imperfections that are considered inherent characteristics and are not covered by this warranty.
i) Exposure to sun can and will cause discoloration of wood, metal finishes, and fabrics and is not covered by this warranty.
j) Exposure to extreme heat or humidity can and will cause the swelling, splitting, warping, or shrinking of materials used in production. These types of damages are not covered under this warranty.
k) Carroll by Design light fixtures are not intended to be used outdoors. Any promotional materials showing Carroll by Design fixtures outdoors is not an indication of intent of use and is for creative purposes only. Damages due to exposure to outdoor elements are not covered under this warranty.
